Aftermath

John and Dorothy's wills divided their property equally among their children. Several holographic wills survive which express the wishes of John and Dorothy at various stages of their lives. These were superseded by formal wills constructed in the months before their deaths.

As I (Paul Griffin) was preparing this history, I received an e-mail message 'out of the blue' from the daughter of one of Dorothy's closer friends, Jane Gibson in LaCanada. She found my name in a high-school registry site, classmates.com. I was astounded that she would be inspired to send such a message at this time for the first time, in over 25 years since Dorothy's death. Perhaps more information about Dorothy will come to light from Janette Gibson.
