Dear Dr. Griffin:
In response to your letter of-April 30, 1979, let me assure you that a La Canada Teachers Association scholarship in the memory of Dorothy I. Griffin was established. It is a four-year scholarship, awarded to one person who receives $100 a year for four years. At the end of the four-year period, another high school student will be selected to receive the Dorothy I. Griffin scholarship for a four-year period.
With the deposit of $1300 at Home Federal Savings and Loan Association, $100 in interest money is available each year for this award.
In June 1976 Heidi Kauti, 4368 Hayman Avenue, La Canada was the first recipient of this scholarship. This June she will receive the last $100 of this award. If I can be of any further assistance, please write.
