Dorothy Griffin to Paul Griffin
Paul
If you want, you may take dad's tilt chair (black) from the television room to keep. Also, if you want it and can manage it you may have the large sofa in the television room. It would be great in your family room, but I don't know if it's too large, otherwise I'll sell it.
Please take all drawers, Xmas lights, etc, from garage up home. Throw away all old paint cans, etc. Also plywood, etc. Lets get the garage in shape if possible. If someone wants to buy the freezer you may have the money you can get from it.
The little stove, etc. dad made for my (kindergarten) years ago, I wish one of you would take it for your children. They are expensive to buy and dad worked hard on them.
Please have Marolynn bring the cut brown table cloth down for Christmas. It is for her, but I want all of the girls to cooperate in lending their cloths. I bought three magnificent ones; the brown one, the French lace and the Chinese one, and there will be times when one is more appropriate than another. I hope the girls see this and will cooperate. While each one will own one they should lend it if there is a need. This is their big gift this year.
I am not allowed to go shopping so am ordering things from (a) Sears Catalog for the children - not expensive but colorful. We should have a wonderful cooperative Christmas.
Dad is very very bad and Bob is not sure he will still be here for Christmas, but if we believe in our religion we know it is the unshackling of great suffering when he goes.
The doctor has good hope for me if I follow the rules.
Love, Mother.
