John Griffin to Mother / LaCanada, CA
Dear Mother Griffin
It was so long between letters from you [that] I got quite qorried that you were too ill to write, and was really relieved when your letter came last week. John has been in San Francisco all week, and goes to Portland all next week. I am very glad for my schoolwork when he is away on these long trips. It makes the time go by so much faster.
We have had a little worry over Paul who developed a bladder infection. However, after drugs and testing we hope he is out of the woods. He always looks so healthy that it is hard to beliueve he can get these strange illnesses. Marian has a respiratory weakness but I am sure her resistance builds up as she gets older.
John has been working alongside Oz Hyde last week and will do next [week]. It's a pleasant relationship and I'm glad they are able to renew old ties.
We were badly disappointed over the collapse of our annual get-together in Los Vegas. For seven years now we have had an old crowd reunion on Washington's Birthday, but this year.... the project collapsed.
