President G.R. Woolf to Rulon Christensen

We are sending you the order form for your ocean voyage as well as those of Elder Griffin and Rands...Since you are going Tourist Third each of you receive from us an additional 130 francs Swiss, which represents the difference in price of this passage and second class cabin on other U.S. Line steamers, this in conformity with recent instructions from President Wedtsoe. This will undoubtedly be good news to you. We are also enclosing forms for you to fill out for your clergy certificates which should be sent immediately to the Eastern States Mission office at 273 Gates Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, with a one dollar bill attached to each application. We are also enclosing orders for your railway transportation from New York home... Frere Griffin will receive 184.50 francs Swiss for railway transportation from Marseille to Cherbourg and Pullman accommodations in America...

I sincerely hope that you and Frere Griffin will be successful in your examinations and that your journey home will be a pleasant one. As we are having our mission president's conference in Basle starting June 18, I may not be able to see you again. I hope I shall pass through Paris, however, before you leave. If you have any parting suggestions to make regarding the French Mission in any of its phases, they will be very well received. I am sure that your work here has been much appreciated and that you should go home with a great satisfaction of having completed a wonderful mission. This applies equally to Elder Griffin. Sister Woolf, the family and Frere Fechser and Frere Jensen who is with us for a few days, all join in extending our kindest greetings to you.
