Jul 23 Tracted here in Marseille with frere Thomson. It's surely hot. Visited a little this afternoon.

Jul 24 Tracted four hours today to celebrate. Got a keen letter from Dot. Visited the American Saints tonight.

Jul 25 Tracting was better today, thank goodness. Saw a few friends this afternoon. Helped the sister with her english.

Jul 26 Went out in the country today. Was pretty good going. Tonight we went to a show. Was good for a change.

Jul 27 Pressed clothes this morning. Spent the afternoon out in Parc Prado with the sisters. It's a keen park.

Jul 28 Went for a walk this morning. Studied this afternoon. Only had one out to meeting. Was a good meeting anyway.

Jul 29 Went down to the port and saw them load the dead soldiers on the chek-ship this morning. Tracted this afternoon. Took a bath.

Jul 30 Left Marseille early this morning for Montpellier. Went to Palavas this afternoon. Felt rotten all day. Feel low tonight.

Jul 31 Felt better this morning so went tracting. It's surely hard going. Visited Mme Calvin a little this afternoon.



Aug 1 Tracted opening up with frere Osborn all day. Nobody is home and it makes it hard. Went to show tonight - not bad.

Aug 2 Spent the day tracting out in the country. Had a good day. Made out reports and wrote Dot tonight.

Aug 3 Went for a walk out in the country this morning. Went down to the sea this afternoon. Had a real keen time.

Aug 4 Held meeting among ourselves this morning as no one came out. Wrote letters and studied the rest of the day.

Aug 5 Tracted this morning and had a good morning. Visited out to the english professor's. Got a couple of letters from Dot.

Aug 6 Tracted this morning - was not so good. Went to Palavas this afternoon - had a keen swim. Study tonight.
