John to Mother, Hotel Majestic, Chicago
The trip so far is not costing me as much as I expected it would. I left with some $113, I think. I now have $97.36 on hand. My hotel bill is paid and I'm ready to leave for Buffalo at 2:40 today. We arrive at 8 in the morning and then spend the day on a side trip to Niagara Falls. We leave Buffalo at 6 and arrive in Montreal the next afternoon and sail the next morning at 11 o'clock.
I am having a wonderful time here in Chicago. I saw two very good shows, the art museum, and the Field Museum of Natural History. It is all wonderful beyond description. We see the city by boarding a bus, riding as far as it goes, then get off and catch another one back. It's great sport. Well mother I hope you feel better soon. Give my love to family and often.
