Missionary Journal of John Griffin

Feb 15 Got up late this morning. Went tracting for a little while. Held a very good missionary meeting this afternoon. Show tonight.

Feb 16 Got up, took a bath and then went up to the hall to help get ready for the soire. Was a good soire but poor crowd.

Feb 17 Came back home today. Stopped off in Chandy for a minute or so. Held meeting tonight and only had 12 out.

Feb 18 Thawed out pipes at local. Went tracting then out to see Moutiers. Went to see frere Miraus tonight.

Feb 19 Tracted this morning for a change. Went to Relief Society then out to shows. Glansmans - layed on hands for sick.

Feb 20 Went tracting this morning. Then up to seour Matteys to eat. Had good visit this afternoon. Saw show tonight.

Feb 21 Tracted this morning then went out to seour Glansmans to eat. This afternoon we looked up friends and tonight held meeting - 17.

Feb 22 Tracted this morning. Went out and tried to make visits this afternoon. No success. Feel sick tonight stiff neck.

Feb 23 Worked all morning and part of the afternoon cleaning hall. Went with Gelenen this afternoon. Saw "Student Prince" tonight.

Feb 24 Held meetings most all day. Had good attendance . At dinner at frere Lutiys and supper at seour Matteys.

Feb 25 Tracted as usual this morning. Was pretty hard going. Had a real good visit this afternoon. Visit at Sumoir fell through tonight.

Feb 26 Tracted this morning. Had hard going. Went to Relief Society at seour Glansmann. Had a pretty good visit tonight.

Feb 27 Went to Yverdon today. Was a miserable day not so hot. Held class up to frere Wevers tonight. Good visit.

Feb 28 Turned off cold again today. Didn't do much today. Planned an open night for tonight and no one showed up.



Mar 1 Stayed around until 2 bells when we went up to La Chaux-de-Fonds to celebrate the holiday. Saw "The Fours Sons" tonight - good.

Mar 2 Slept late - got up and wrote to mother. Played dominos this afternoon. Left, arrived home and spent evening doing hall.
