May 31 Went to Lulou this morning. It was not so bad as I thought it was. Held conference tonight - had 45 there. Was a hard crowd.



Jun 1 Held missionary meeting this morning. Was a very good meeting. Visited the harbor and battleships this afternoon.

Jun 2 Left Marseille at 12 - arriving here at 4 this morning. Sat around and wrote letters. Went to a show tonight and slept.

Jun 3 Had meeting and had 18 out. Was not a bad meeting. Went up and heard the band this afternoon. Was good.

Jun 4 Got back to tracting again today - Had a pretty good day. No news from Pres. Rossiter yet. Letter from Dot.

Jun 5 Tracted again today - not so good. Got news of a lot of changes down here but none about me. Wrote Chuck.

Jun 6 Tracted again today. Visited M. Beil this afternoon. Visited Saints tonight. Have received no news from from the Pres.

Jun 7 Got news of move. Was made Pres. of Grenoble Branch. Spent morning packing trunk. Visited Salyes this afternoon.

Jun 8 Left about 11. Spent all day on the train. Saw Valence - arrived at 9 tonight. Had hard time finding missionaries.

Jun 9 My first day in Grenoble. They have a high powered pension. Took a bath and went to a show. Like Grenoble.

Jun 10 Held meeting, had 23 there. I am afraid they are all disappointed in me. It rained all day. Wrote Dot.

Jun 11 Been on visits all day. Held two classes. Got a feed at one place. I surely like the branch and the people.

Jun 12 Tracted this morning. Was not bad. Visited, saw the Musicum and went swimming. Tonight we held class at Saints.

Jun 13 Tracted. Frere Brigham left this morning. Has been awful hot today. Wrote to the sisters tonight.

Jun 14 Tracted this morning. Visited at Vigliani today; is a good visit. Tonight we held meeting. Did not go over so big.

Jun 15 Tracted all morning. Visit in afternoon - fell through. Got photo retaken. Took Phons to eat. Visited Kerus after.
